TAY Leadership Club Is Back - With a New Name!

8/16/2022

We have some exciting news regarding our TAY programs for Fall 2022. TAY Leadership Club will back with an updated name. Additionally, we have a couple of new offerings for teens and young adults aged 16-24. Read on to learn all about what we have planned.
To start, TAY Leadership Club will now be known as Youth Collective. We wanted to update the name to emphasize the sense of community and self-agency that the group gives the participants. Despite this, the group will continue with to be a peer-led and youth-centered community offering education and training to young people in Alameda County. Youth Collective will meet on 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from 4 pm to 6 pm. The first meeting of the season will be on September 7th, so don’t miss it!

Up next, we want to introduce Circle Up! Circle Up! will be a casual, social space for young people to meet new people, socialize, chit-chat, talk about anything and everything. Youth can host fun activities such as movie viewings and game nights, lead discussions, and more. Circle Up! will meet on the last Thursday of every month from 4pm - 6pm.

Lastly, we’re offering free, one-on-one appointment services starting in September. These appointments are an opportunity to receive peer support around resume building, job searching, and mentoring. These appointments will be available every second Thursday of the month.

We hope you’re looking forward to these programs as much as we are. We've also put together some informational materials that offer more information on our programs as well as resources in Alameda County. You can find this linked down below.

If you have any questions, please reach out to tay@peersnet.org. We hope to see you soon!

I would like to sign up for the Youth Collective. How do I do that?
