The Alameda Council of Community Mental Health Agencies (ACCMHA) is an association of twenty-nine California nonprofits that contract with Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services (ACBHCS) to provide mental health and co-occurring disorder services for the county’s eligible children, transition age youth, adults, older adults, and their families.

The mission of Black Men Speak (BMS) is to inform the mental health community and the general public about issues concerning African-American males with mental health and substance abuse challenges. Through the platform of a speakers’ bureau, BMS works toward healing the African-American community from the stigma, discrimination, and trauma by sharing stories and promoting messages of wellness, recovery, and freedom.

The California Institute for Behavioral Health Solutions (CIBHS) was established as the California Institue for Mental Health (CiMH) in1993 to promote excellence in mental health services through training, technical assistance, research and policy development. Local mental health directors founded CIBHS to work collaboratively with all mental health system stakeholders. The commitment to collaboration has led the board to expand board membership to include consumers, family members, and other interested persons representing the public interest.
