Dorothy Payne
Dorothy is a seasoned Senior Human Resources and Programs Professional with over two
decades of experience, currently serving as the Sr. Director of Programs & Impact. In this role, she leads programmatic development and implementation, aligning initiatives with the organization’s strategic priorities. Dorothy establishes measurable program goals, monitors progress, and ensures the effective delivery of programs while fostering collaborative relationships across program areas. She is dedicated to building a high-performance culture within her teams, driving accountability and impact. Dorothy works closely with program directors to evaluate outcomes and leverage resources, staying informed on developments in the nonprofit sector to develop innovative progr ideas and pilot projects that incorporate community input. She plays a key role in setting staff goals and measuring results against program impact, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. With a focus on collaboration, Dorothy builds and nurtures strategic partnerships to enhance program success and engages with the Board of Directors as a thought partner. Previously, Dorothy held senior HR roles, including Vice President of Human Resources at Metro Services, Inc., and Director of Human Resources at Community Works West, Inc., where she implemented key HR strategies, developed talent acquisition plans, and spearheaded equity and inclusion initiatives. Dorothy holds a BA in Political Science and an MS in Human Resource Management. She is also a SHRM Senior Certified Professional in Human Resources. With her extensive experien and commitment to driving impactful programs, Dorothy continues to make a significa difference in the nonprofit sector. In her free time she enjoys sports, time with family a friends and baking. |
